2. What cookies and similar technologies are

Cookies are small files or identifiers that a website may store on the user's device through the browser and later read to enable certain features or remember certain information.

Applicable rules also cover technologies other than cookies when they allow information on the user's device to be stored or accessed. Depending on how they are used, these may include browser local storage and other similar technologies.

3. Types of tools used on the Site

The Site uses or may use the following categories of tools.

3.1 Strictly necessary tools

These are used solely to enable operation, security and technical delivery of the Site and to store choices required for consent management.

3.2 Google Maps

On the "Contact" page, the Site may display an interactive map via a Google Maps embed provided by Google Ireland Limited.

The embed is not loaded until the user has given consent to the relevant category. Without consent, alternative informational content is shown and an external link remains available to open Google Maps in a new tab.

When the embed is loaded, Google may use cookies and similar technologies and process technical data relating to the connection, device and interaction with the service, under its own notices.

The availability and exact names of cookies and technologies used by Google Maps may vary depending on technical configuration, browser and updates by Google.

3.3 Google Analytics 4

The Site may use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google Ireland Limited, solely for statistical purposes and analysis of Site use.

GA4 is activated only after the user has given consent to the statistics category.

Before consent:

• Google analytics cookies are not set;
• Google Analytics code is not used to measure browsing;
• the Site does not carry out GA4 analysis without consent.

The Site configuration does not use Google Analytics for remarketing or personalised advertising and does not use Google Signals to collect data for such purposes.

Google states that in GA4, IP addresses may be used in the collection process but are not stored or logged by Google Analytics. Further information on processing by Google is available in the applicable Google notices.

4. Consent management

On the first visit, when required, the Site shows a banner through which the user may accept non-essential tools, reject them, or open detailed settings and select desired categories.

Non-essential categories are initially set to denied.

The Site does not use continued browsing, scrolling or inactivity as a form of consent.

Consent is given through a positive, informed action by the user.

Settings may be changed or withdrawn at any time via the "Cookie preferences" command in the Site footer.

Changing preferences replaces choices previously made.

Accept, reject and customise options are presented in a way that does not visually favour one choice over another.

5. Google Consent Mode

Consent Mode does not constitute consent by itself: the choice is collected by the Site's preference system and then communicated to Google services according to the applied settings.

The Site uses basic Consent Mode: before consent, the googletagmanager.com/gtag/js script is not loaded and cookieless pings typical of advanced Consent Mode are not sent; only a first-party script sets consent default to denied.

For tools subject to consent, the default state is configured not to allow analytics or functional storage before the user's choice.

Settings relating to personalised advertising and data collection for advertising purposes remain disabled for features not used on the Site.

6. Cookie preferences

The user's choice is stored through a Site first-party mechanism, in particular browser local storage used solely to remember consent preferences.

This storage: is not a cookie; is used to remember the user's choices; is not used for profiling or advertising; is not used for browsing analytics; may be deleted by the user through browser settings.

Preferences may be stored for up to 12 months, unless local data is deleted earlier or choices are changed through the preference panel.

If there are significant changes to services, purposes or third parties involved, the consent system may ask the user to choose again.

7. List of tools used

The list below reflects the Site implementation as of the date of this Cookie Policy. Because third-party services may change cookies and technologies over time, the inventory is kept up to date in line with integrations actually present on the Site.

Names, duration and characteristics of third-party tools may vary depending on technical implementation and updates by the respective providers. If new tools or purposes are introduced, this inventory is updated.

8. Tools not used on the Site

As of the date of this Cookie Policy, the Site does not use, for normal browsing:

• Google Tag Manager as a separate tag container;
• advertising pixels;
• remarketing systems;
• behavioural advertising tools;
• embedded social widgets that automatically load tracking tools.

Links to external profiles or services, where present, are ordinary links that do not automatically load the related service during simple browsing of the Site.

The external link to open Google Maps leads to the Google Maps service in a new tab and is not equivalent to loading the embed on the Site page.

9. Google Analytics: purposes and configuration

Google Analytics 4 is used to understand how the Site is used and to obtain statistics on, among other things, page views, visit duration, traffic source and technical characteristics of the device or browser.

Use of GA4 is subject to the user's consent to the statistics category.

The Site configuration is not aimed at creating individual advertising profiles and does not provide for remarketing via Google Analytics.

Google Analytics normally uses first-party cookies. Google indicates _ga as the main cookie to distinguish visitors and _ga_<ID> to maintain session state.

The Site sets a maximum GA4 client cookie lifetime of 14 months (cookie_expires parameter) and event retention in the GA4 property is configured to the same horizon. Actual duration may be shorter due to browser limits or other technical settings.

10. Managing cookies through the browser

Users may also manage, block or delete cookies and locally stored data through their browser settings.

Deleting local data used to store consent preferences may cause the banner to appear again and require a new choice.

Browser management does not replace the Site preference system, which remains the main way to change or withdraw consent.
